Overview:
AlifCloud IT Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Network Administrator for a consulting role, fully remote, focused on maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of network systems for our clients. Specializing in Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and various firewall and endpoint management solutions, this position requires deep understanding of cloud concepts and extensive experience in network administration within retail or restaurant technology environments. The candidate must be available during Pacific Time (PT) business hours to ensure alignment with client schedules.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and support an enterprise-level Microsoft 365 environment for clients, including user and computer management.
• Configure and manage Entra ID for client networks, including expertise in MS SSO, MFA setups, and configurations.
• Oversee endpoint management using SentinelOne for endpoint protection and Automox for updates and patch management for client systems.
• Manage network infrastructure and security tools including Palo Alto and Cisco Meraki firewalls, and Fortinet FortiGate for our clients.
• Deploy and manage Cisco Meraki and Fortinet FortiAP access points in client settings.
• Design and support Microsoft hybrid cloud configurations for client networks.
• Design, support, and troubleshoot network systems for clients including IP schemes, routing, VLANs, and related firewall rules.
• Ensure network security and connectivity, monitor network performance, and optimize as necessary for client networks.
• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to define network policies and ensure they align with client business objectives.
• Document network configurations and changes, and maintain comprehensive documentation for client networks.
• Provide high-level technical support and training to team members and client end-users.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network administration, specifically in a retail or restaurant technology environment, with a strong emphasis on client service.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration, including extensive experience with MS Intune for policy management.
• Proven experience with endpoint management solutions such as SentinelOne and Automox.
• Strong understanding and experience in managing Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Meraki systems (firewalls and access points), Fortinet FortiGate, and FortiAP access points.
• Proficient in designing and implementing Microsoft hybrid cloud configurations.
• Demonstrable ability in designing, supporting, and troubleshooting network infrastructures including complex IP schemes and routing for multiple clients.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues across diverse client environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Certifications in network security or systems management (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA) are preferred.
