Key Skills and Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include development experience in one or more of the following languages: C++, Python, Go (golang), bash, familiarity with kernel-bypass and direct memory access (DMA) concepts, experience with low-level C++ memory management, familiarity with the following network protocols and concepts: Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, Unicast/Multicast transmission, ability to work with JSON, XML, YAML, INI, and proprietary data interchange formats, familiarity with SDLC planning software (e.g. Jira), familiarity with a DVCS (e.g. git) and working on a multi-member project utilizing such tool, familiarity with CMake, makefiles, and the make utility, familiarity with functional and integration testing, familiarity with IT software build automation toolchains and components (e.g. Jenkins, Gradle), knowledge of applications and services offered by ICE/NYSE, and knowledge of trading software, order book logic, and general principles of market data consumption.
The role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
