Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance: Install, pull, terminate, and splice copper and fiber optic cables, including CAT5E, CAT6, and fiber optics.
Infrastructure Setup: Mount and arrange patch panels, network racks, cabinets, cable trays, and ladders.
Testing & Troubleshooting: Use tools such as Fluke testers, OTDRs, and fiber splicers to diagnose and resolve cable faults and signal loss.
Documentation & Compliance: Read blueprints/technical diagrams to follow layout plans and update documentation, ensuring compliance with TIA/EIA standards.
Safety & Site Management: Adhere to safety procedures, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Key Qualifications
Experience: 2–3 years of experience in structured cabling or related telecommunications work is typically preferred.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling techniques, cable dressing, and termination.
Tools: Familiarity with punch-down tools, wire strippers, and cable testers.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work on ladders, in confined spaces, and lift heavy equipment.
