About the Role
WRS Insurance, part of Benefact Group, seeks a seasoned Account Executive to join our Colchester office.
The primary objective is to secure new business, generate revenue, and develop profitability while ensuring FCA compliance in commercial insurance.
This role involves handling new business with customers directly and supporting quotations for larger clients.
Key Responsibilities
Secure new business by finding suitable and cost-effective cover among our panel of insurers.
Support the New Business team as needed.
Develop professional relationships with clients, providing expert product advice and guidance.
Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism when dealing with clients and insurers.
Ensure all business activities comply with FCA regulation and company procedures.
Handle complaints according to regulation, Conduct Policy, and Guide to Best Practice.
Participate in training and assessment exercises, identifying areas for personal development.
Promote high customer service standards and exceptional customer care at all times.
Adhere to Individual Conduct rules and Conduct policies.
Meet reporting requirements for the FCA where necessary.
Achieve Key Performance Indicators compliantly with FCA regulation.
Develop valuable relationships with insurers and underwriters for the benefit of the company and its clients.
Ensure proper management of client and employee data in accordance with Data Protection Act principles and Company policies.
Prioritize timely client communication and ensure it follows company procedures.
Maintain computer and paper files in line with company standards, ensuring FCA compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Familiarity with most commercial insurance products.
Experience as an Account Handler/Executive in a similar broking environment (desirable).
Proven track record of working within FCA compliance frameworks.
Attention to detail.
Ability to build strong relationships with clients, insurers, etc.
Cert CII certification or willingness to attain it with support.
