Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to maintain and grow our existing retail partners across New Zealand whilst looking for new opportunities. Our brands are leaders in outdoor recreation, lifestyle and industry.
Based remotely, you'll have the flexibility to manage territories across both North and South Islands, with support from our HQ in Sydney. This role requires frequent domestic travel and exceptional time management skills to effectively service our nationwide network.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working closely with team to execute national sales strategies aligned with brand objectives
Conducting range showings and managing indent orders for seasonal brands such as Fjällräven
Supporting customers with technical training, merchandising, assortment planning and after-sales service
Identifying and pursuing growth opportunities across multiple channels including outdoor and sports retail, corporate organisations, and lifestyle channels throughout New Zealand
About you:
You are self-motivated and goal-driven, with proven ability to work autonomously
You have experience in B2B account management, wholesale trade, and working with retailers
You possess thorough understanding of New Zealand consumer & retail insights and can leverage market trends to inform your sales approach
You excel at building relationships and managing stakeholder expectations across diverse regions
You are detail-oriented and analytical, skilled at identifying opportunities and following through on leads
You have minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
You have a valid driver's license and are comfortable with frequent travel throughout New Zealand and at times internationally
Experience working across different regions in New Zealand is highly advantageous
