NOC Engineer
We are seeking a skilled NOC Engineer to join our operations team. This role ensures the availability, stability, and security of customer IT infrastructure through proactive network monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response. The NOC Engineer provides 24x7x365 escalation support, manages network performance, and resolves infrastructure issues to maintain seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide 24x7x365 first-level escalation support for network and system incidents.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network, server, and security infrastructure using tools such as ManageEngine OPMAN, Zabbix, Elastic, Sophos, O365, and HaloPSA.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.
• Configure, operate, and upgrade routers, switches, and firewalls, including IOS updates.
• Manage and optimize network protocols (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Routing: Static, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP; Switching: VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP, Port Security).
• Respond to and escalate security incidents per NOC processes and security policies.
• Use remote administration tools (Terminal Server, Remote Desktop, Telnet, SSH) for issue resolution.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes with accuracy.
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and network operations.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Familiarity with security monitoring and incident response.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to monitor network performance metrics and recommend improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification.
• 1–3 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
• Experience with firewalls, security appliances, and high-availability networks.
• Willingness to work in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
