About the Role:
Paywize is hiring a Backend Software Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js/Nest.js,Microservices, and PostgreSQL. Join our fast-growing fintech team and build secure, scalable APIs powering mission-critical banking and payment services.
What You’ll Do:
Build and maintain robust backend applications and services
Develop secure, well-documented REST APIs
Integrate with third-party services and banking APIs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on feature development
Optimize for performance, security, and scalability
Participate in code reviews and team learning
Requirements:
3+ years of backend development with Node.js
Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), Express.js, PostgreSQL,Microservices
Familiarity with Redis, REST APIs, and Git
Experience with microservices, job queues, and rate limiting
Strong debugging, testing, and documentation skills
Preferred:
Experience in fintech or with payments/banking APIs
Knowledge of Nest.js, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams, or Kafka
Exposure to cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), PHP, or Golang is a plus
Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps best practices
