Join our on-site engineering pod in India and help design resilient, low-latency back-end services that scale on AWS.
Role & Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy Node.js microservices on AWS (Lambda, ECS, EKS) following 12-factor principles.
• Build RESTful and event-driven APIs integrating DynamoDB, RDS, and third-party services with robust authentication and logging.
• Optimize code, queries, and infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency using CloudWatch metrics.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation/CDK) to ensure rapid, safe releases.
• Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, and product teams to refine requirements, conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, execute root-cause analysis, and deliver preventive fixes within defined SLAs.
Skills & Qualifications
• Must-Have
• 3+ years professional Node.js back-end development experience.
• Hands-on with AWS core services: Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, DynamoDB, S3.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, async patterns, and test frameworks (Jest/Mocha).
• Experience crafting REST and JSON-based microservices with secure authentication (JWT/OAuth2).
• Strong Git workflow knowledge and CI/CD skills (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or similar).
• Preferred
• Exposure to serverless event architectures (SNS, SQS, Kinesis) and container orchestration (ECS/EKS).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code via CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, caching (Redis/ElastiCache), and observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, X-Ray).
