Job Description
• Backend Development: Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and related technologies.
• Architecture Design: Collaborate with the architecture team to design scalable and high-performance software solutions.
• Code Review: Review code written by junior developers and provide constructive feedback.
• Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize code and queries for improved efficiency.
• Database Integration: Work with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and ensure data integrity and security.
• API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between the frontend and backend.
• Security: Implement security best practices to protect against common web application vulnerabilities.
• Testing: Write unit tests and conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and quality of code.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture.
• Mentoring: Mentor junior developers, share knowledge, and contribute to the growth of the development team.
The Successful Applicant
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Node.js development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and its ecosystems.
• Experience with modern web development frameworks and libraries (e.g., Express.js).
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and best practices.
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
