Job Description
We are seeking expressions of interest from Registered Nurses who are eager to take their career to the next level by completing a six-month programme to become a Registered Nurse Assistant to the Anaesthetist (RNAA). This exciting opportunity allows nurses to earn while they learn, with the programme being fully funded by Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Waitaha.
Successful completion of the programme will lead to employment as a RNAA within Perioperative Services, working under the Anaesthetic Technician Clinical Leadership in collaboration with Perioperative Nursing Clinical Leadership.
Key Requirements
You must be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC.
A minimum of 12 months of continuous clinical anaesthetic experience in a capacity aligned to the role of the Anaesthetic Technician scope of practice within the last five years.
Be able to complete the programme at a minimum of 0.8FTE with a view to 0.8 - 1.0 FTE at successful completion.
A strong interest in working within the anaesthetic technician scope and furthering your experience.
Open to learning and playing an active role in our team.
