About the role:
Delivering high-quality, safe, and evidence-based patient/client care with significant independent clinical decision-making, including case management, therapeutic interventions, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Use information systems for decision-making, quality improvement, risk management, and resource management while contributing to policy development and maintaining safe working environments.
Maintaining a professional practice portfolio, support continuous learning, and contribute clinical expertise to individual and team capability development and clinical teaching.
Participating in monitoring, evaluating, and applying research to improve nursing/midwifery practices and service delivery aligned with best practice guidelines.
Act as a leader, mentor, and role model within nursing/midwifery frameworks, leading clinical practice, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and fostering a culture responsive to consumer needs and legislative requirements.
About you:
Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
Effective leadership skills including communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and lead change management.
Commitment to ethical conduct, diversity, worker health & safety, quality management, person/family-centered care, and risk management.
At least 3 years post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse (or Registered Nurse/Midwife).
Competence in relevant nursing practice, supervision experience, and delivering high-quality, safe care aligned with national standards.
Understanding of safety roles, work health safety principles, quality management, consumer engagement, and relevant legislation and professional standards.
