Job Description

This role is responsible for delivering Continuing Nursing Education and Professional Development activities to enhance the practice of our nursing staff. The ideal applicant will be a technologically savvy person who has confidence on the computer, ideally with an advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and Teams.

Requirements

Evidence of continuing nursing education and professional development commensurate with the role.
Demonstrated clinical teaching abilities.
Ideally holds a Certificate of Adult Teaching or graduate qualification in Adult Education (or equivalent) or is working towards this.
A relevant postgraduate qualification in nursing or working towards one.
CPR Instructor's Certificate.
PDRP assessor/resource person.
Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a small team.
Able to work under pressure to fulfil urgent requests within tight time-frames.
Self-motivated and an ability to contribute to and accommodate change.
Demonstrate a commitment to developing an understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi, Maori, and other cultural issues as related to the PDU.
Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
