The Government of Western Australia Department of Health is seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team in the Emergency Department.
Job Description
The successful applicant will be responsible for promoting and embedding a learning culture that supports positive patient outcomes and delivery of a patient-centred service. This will involve collaborating with the Unit Manager in the development and management of orientation and performance development programs to meet the education and training needs of nursing/midwifery staff within the emergency department.
Key Responsibilities
Determine personal and professional competencies integral to care delivery in the local unit and required of nursing/midwifery staff.
Oversee all individual staff performance appraisal and development activities within the emergency department.
Collaborate with the Unit Manager to determine the education and training needs of nursing/midwifery staff.
Requirements
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia. Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply.
