Nurse Manager - Ambulatory
This is a leadership role that oversees the preoperative and post-operative environments in the Ambulatory unit at Albany Medical Center. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring excellence in patient care and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Provides proactive administrative and staff support in a patient-centered environment.
Promotes center strategies that provide excellence in patient care.
Coodinates the flow of communication to maintain optimal unit/department operations.
Advocates for patients, families, and staff.
Supports lifelong learning by using the organization's established empowerment process.
Promotes fiscally responsible financial planning linked to Center goals.
Qualifications:
Must hold current New York State registration or possess a limited permit to practice in the State of New York. 5 Years of Nursing Experience required.
Baccalaureate in Nursing required, Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to the team, manage resources and empower staff to provide excellent patient care. Previous experience managing teams with diverse skills and roles.
