Temporary role working 20 hours per fortnight over a 7-day roster up to 16 October 2026
WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?
The Nurse Practitioner Candidate role offers a unique opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills within the Emergency Department as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will deliver a customer-focused service, providing advanced clinical nursing care including assessment, triage, coordination, education, consultancy, research, management and mentoring.
Working at this level, you will build your expertise and autonomy while being supported by an authorised Nurse Practitioner and/or medical staff. You will contribute to clinical leadership, coordination of programs and projects, and the delivery of improved patient and service outcomes, while progressing toward extended practice and Nurse Practitioner authorisation.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?
Provide advanced clinical nursing care including assessment, triage and care coordination.
Deliver a customer-focused service incorporating education, consultancy, research and mentoring.
Work collaboratively with an authorised Nurse Practitioner and/or medical staff in clinical decision-making.
Contribute to clinical leadership and the coordination of projects and programs.
Develop advanced skills and knowledge toward extended practice and Nurse Practitioner authorisation.

You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
