About the position
As a Nurse Practitioner – Menopause Program, you will provide comprehensive clinical care for patients experiencing perimenopause and menopause-related health concerns. You will assess patients, evaluate symptoms related to hormonal changes, and develop individualized care plans that support women’s health.
This role focuses on the diagnosis and management of menopause-related symptoms and health considerations. Responsibilities include clinical assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications including hormone therapy where appropriate, and providing education and support to patients navigating this stage of life.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Patient Intake & Clinical Assessment
Conduct intake appointments, including review of medical history, symptoms, and completion of internal requisition forms
Assess symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause
Provide patient education regarding the diagnostic process, expected timelines, and treatment options.
Coordinate same-day blood work
Ensure accurate documentation of all clinical findings in the EMR.
2. Treatment Planning & Follow-Up
Review same-day lab results and prepare individualized treatment plans.
Conduct next-day follow-up calls to discuss diagnostic findings and recommended therapies.
Fax prescriptions to patient’s preferred pharmacy and confirm receipt.
Email patients with their detailed treatment plan, appointment details, and symptom tracking tools.
Schedule and complete the final follow-up appointment to evaluate treatment response, address concerns, and plan next steps.
3. Patient Support & Communication
Provide direct patient support via phone and email during designated hours.
Respond to clinical inquiries, clarify treatment instructions, and escalate concerns to the medical director as required.
Maintain professional, empathetic, and timely communication with all program participants.
4. Program Coordination & Administrative Duties
Ensure patient profiles are accurately created and maintained in Accuro.
Document program start/end dates and ensure the menopause program status is displayed.
Manage patient scheduling through the clinic’s EMR
Upload required documents to the patient’s chart.
Collaborate with intake and administrative teams to ensure seamless onboarding and continuity of care.
5. Quality & Program Improvement
Participate in the ongoing evaluation of the Menopause Program to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Adhere to clinic policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based guidelines for menopausal care.
Maintain current knowledge on menopause management, hormone therapy, and emerging treatment trends.
Qualifications and Requirements
Nurse Practitioner (NP) in good standing with the relevant provincial regulatory body.
Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience, preferably in women’s health, endocrinology, reproductive health, or primary care.
Experience in menopause management, hormone therapy, or perimenopause/ menopause care.
Previous experience developing or running specialty programs.
Strong assessment, triage, and patient education skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfort with EMR platforms (Accuro experience is an asset).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
