Nurse Supervisor – Maternal Child Health

Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor with strong leadership capabilities to oversee the Maternal Child Health Department. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise and leadership experience to drive patient care excellence, optimize staff performance, and ensure operational efficiency across the department.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, develop, and implement programs to enhance patient care quality and staff performance
• Monitor and evaluate nursing performance across multiple units
• Collaborate with nurse managers to assess operations and implement process improvements
• Lead and support corrective action plans as necessary
• Develop and maintain tracking systems for:
• Medication errors
• Patient counseling and care documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinical best practices
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance across the Maternal Child Health department
Required Qualifications
Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Education:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
Licensure & Certifications:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York)
• Primary Source Verification through NYSED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Advanced Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide primary care to homebound and palliative care patients in the Valley Stream and Garden City, NY region. You will apply medical techniques and principles under the supervision of a physician and you will care for a diverse set of patients with chronic diseases.
What You'll Do:
• Provide high quality care to primary and palliative patients in and around Loong Island, NY
• Assess patient's health by performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories and creating the best plan for care.
• Effectively communicate with office staff and clinical operations across various internal platforms
• Provide high quality, patient centered care to a panel of patients
• Attend quarterly medical staff meetings
• Develop impressions, diagnosis, and treatment plans
• Foster trust and consult with patients, families, and caregivers during visits
