• Applicants must currently reside within 50 miles of Scottsbluff, NE.

• Provider will complete the exam while interviewing the patient utilizing guided disability questionnaires (known as DBQs) for the claimed condition documenting the exam findings required by the VA through a web portal.
• You will be assigned a location to perform the exams and the clinic team will coordinate scheduling patients based on your availability.
• In this role, you will NOT treat, and you will NOT prescribe medication in this position.
• The practitioner will NOT be determining disability. This is determined by the VA.
• There is no On-Call requirements. Hours are flexible with your availability.
Job Requirements
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an Independent License
• Must hold an active and unrestricted license.
• Interested in performing Independent Medical Assessments.
• Able to analyze data from the medical records and exam findings to complete the questionnaire and form medical opinions.
• Skilled at time management, able to stay on task and meet requirements.
• Proficiently use computer.
There is no chronic or acute disease management, treatment, medication plans, etc., it is just an objective evaluation of their claim for new and existing service-connected disability.
Our providers are proud to deliver high quality, convenient health assessments:
• Providing examinations for Service Members & Veterans to help them receive their VA disability benefits in a timely manner.
• Providing one-time Readiness Examinations for our Service Members on Reserve.
• Submitting electronic DBQ records within appropriate timelines.
Job Opportunities Available:
• Part-Time 10++ Agreement
• Full-Time 10++ Agreement
Pay:
• $450/per day; $225 half day
• We pay you directly, so no insurance billing is necessary

Standard shift:
• Day shift: Mon-Fri
• Examinations begin with a review of the Service Member or Veteran’s medical electronic claims file.
• There is no On-Call requirements. Hours are flexible with your availability.
Typical Workflow:
• Exam Request Received > Testing and Exam Schedule > Provider Reviews Records > Veteran Exam Completion > Report Reviewed and Submitted

Education:
• Master's (Required)
License/Certification & Experience:
• State License must be in good standing. No Actions/Restrictions on License
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APRN or NCCPA)
• 2 years Post-Graduate or Recent experience in a family practice or internal medicine office setting performing head-to-toe physical exams
• Assessment Experience (Preferred)
• Exams require head-to-toe physicals and independent medical opinions (IMO) may be requested
• Must be able to interpret EKG, ABI Doppler, TBI, & PFT tests that are performed in the clinic
• Willing to perform Papsmears/Pelvic/Rectal examinations
• Willing to perform Musculoskeletal Assessments with all range of motions, using a goniometer
