Job Description
Reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Services, the Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for administrative and clinical management of the Cardiac Cath Lab providing the highest standard of patient care. The NUM is a positive role model and acts as a leader to all staff of the Cath Lab, setting behavioural and clinical expectations and keeping staff accountable to these expectations.

$65.1+ - $6+.70 per hour (pending experience) + 11.5% superannuation

Responsibilities:
Financial Accountability – Manage financial outcomes and achieve performance targets for the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Quality & Safety Leadership – Implement and maintain clinical governance, quality improvement programs, and innovative care models.
Clinical Collaboration – Work with the team on clinical procedures
Nursing & Ancillary Management – Ensure high standards of patient care, staff leadership, and adherence to nursing policies.
Education & Resource Management – Oversee staff training, orientation, and stock management within budget constraints.
To be eligible you must:
Have full AHPRA registration with no restrictions
Bachelor of Nursing qualification
Extensive management and leadership experience in Cardiology and Cardiac Catheter Labs
Must be dedicated to high standards of patient care, safety, and quality improvement
Ability to manage people, finances, and operations effectively
The ability to provide ongoing education to junior staff is essential to ensure success in this role.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Knowledge and understanding of clinical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary / interdisciplinary team
Must have full Australian working rights(i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
