We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, supporting their development and wellbeing.

The role is to help cover lunches and annual leave within all age ranges across nursery, and is flexible to suit your schedule. Pay varies surrounding age and experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery setting.

Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.

Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.

Manage children's behaviour in accordance with nursery policies, promoting positive interactions and conflict resolution.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment for all children.

Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff as required.

Drive to various locations if necessary for outings or events related to nursery activities.

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.

A background in Early Childhood Education or related field is advantageous.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

A genuine love for working with young children and supporting their development.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
