We have an exciting opportunity at Cwtsh y Clos Nursery, Llanarthne (SA32 8JX). We are searching for someone that is kind, loving, motivated and committed to join our work family.
Nursery is open between 7:30am to 6pm but on a successful request we can work round your commitments.
NVQ level 2 in childcare is desirable but ideally NVQ level 3 or higher.
Also child protection, food hygiene and first aid qualifications would be beneficial but training will be offered to obtain these if needed.
A clear criminal record is a must.
As the nursery is a Welsh setting all candidates must be able to speak and write in the Welsh language.
The nursery is set on a small holding where farm animals are seen and cared for daily. We do lots of outdoor play which makes the most of the resources on our doorstep. You don't need to be a farmer to work at the nursery but a love for the outdoors is key!
Summary
As a Nursery Assistant/Nursery Nurse, you will be integral to fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children. Reporting to the Nursery Manager, your core responsibilities will include providing quality childcare, engaging in early childhood education, and maintaining effective communication with parents and staff. Your experience with children and nursery settings will be essential, while your leadership skills may come into play in guiding activities. A relevant NVQ qualification and familiarity with Welsh practices will enhance your effectiveness in this role, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for children's growth and development.
Responsibilities
Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Support early childhood education activities, promoting learning through play and structured activities.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a positive atmosphere.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery space, adhering to health and safety standards.
Participate in training and development opportunities, including NVQ qualifications, to enhance childcare skills.

Pay: £17,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
