We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our childcare setting as our nursery cook. Previous experience in a school/ restaurant/ nursery setting is desirable, but a keen interest in food and learning is equally valued.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and standards.
Cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations.
Support with food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
Assist with meal preparation during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Skills
Experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
