Demands, duties, qualifications

Duties: Located at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, this position will promote quality evidence-based nursing practice through education and professional development of the staff of the perioperative program at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook and Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville. The individual in this position is responsible for the design, delivery, and evaluation of orientation and other educational programs specific to the perioperative program areas. The Clinical Educator will model, promote, facilitate and evaluate a best practice approach to care that is patient focused and evidence based. The person in this role functions as a mentor, educator, researcher and consultant whose goal is to facilitate the professional development of practicing nurses.
