We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Systems Administrator
In this role, you will:
• Be responsible to take care of day-to-day issues on Object Storage Solutions and Backup solutions.
• Interact with end user applications to understand and troubleshoot the various issues like access, performance, latency etc.
• Represent the POD in incident, problem and crisis calls whenever required.
• Co-ordinate with vendor for ongoing issues to find solutions/RCA and weekly calls.
• Monitor object storage infrastructure through various tools like SNOW, Grafana and Splunk.
• Provide Level 2/3 production support. Coordinates problem resolution for a variety of functional areas and provides subject matter expertise support for diagnosing and resolving problems
• Creating and maintaining the knowledge base articles and educate the team accordingly.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Having good experience with Storage platforms in Object area, with experience in Dell EMC ECS, NetApp Storage Grid, Veritas Enterprise Vault, OpenText Info Archive.
• Good understanding of Object Infrastructure related to EMC ECS and NetApp Storage Grid
• Having good knowledge of application deployment with S3 protocol and understanding of S3 API calls.
• Having experience of troubleshooting latency issues, application performance issues with respective storage.
• Having moderate knowledge on backup technologies Veritas NetBackup and Commvault will be added advantage.
