Job Description
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Occasional and Full-Time Teachers to join our pool of teachers. These teachers will be provided free professional development as a condition to join our educational teams. These roles are ideal for individuals committed to fostering a positive learning environment for children across various age groups. The positions offer flexible scheduling options, including both occasional and full-time opportunities, in a supportive and dynamic educational setting. Candidates with experience in early childhood education, classroom management, and online Ontario secondary teaching are encouraged to apply. Prior experience working with children, including preschool to grade 12 settings, is highly valued. Duties May Include:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and special education topics
Manage classroom activities to promote positive behavior and ensure a safe learning environment
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate children with special needs or early intervention requirements
Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and foster respect among students
Conduct assessments and utilize standardized testing methods to monitor student progress
Support child welfare by creating inclusive and nurturing classroom atmospheres
Engage in parent communication regarding student progress and classroom activities
Incorporate specialized educational approaches as appropriate
Facilitate tutoring sessions and provide additional support for students needing extra help
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans
Qualifications
Experience working with children in preschool, daycare, private school, or early childhood education settings
Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management
Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and literacy education
Experience with standardized testing, tutoring, and teaching physical education is a plus
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and parents
Background in Montessori methods or experience with toddler care is desirable
Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners including those requiring special accommodations
Childcare certification or relevant early childhood education credentials preferred

Pay: $17.20-$41.72 per hour
