About the Role
Te Awakura, part of the Adult Inpatient Group, is a 64-bed adult acute inpatient unit providing 24-hour care to individuals experiencing acute mental illness. Our model focuses on integrated multidisciplinary teams striving to provide excellent care in the least restrictive manner.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the facilitation of the therapeutic programme, including individual and group-based interventions with other team members and the programme coordinator.
Completing occupational therapy assessments and formulating interventions to meet individual strengths and minimise vulnerabilities.
Contributing to multidisciplinary treatment planning and discharge planning, including actively supporting community integration.
Demonstrating good communication skills to support effective team functioning.
Requirements
Excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage a varying caseload.
A positive, engaging and solution-focused attitude towards work.
Sound computer and technological literacy.
NZ Registered Occupational Therapist with current Annual Practicing Certificate.
A full class driver's license for transporting passengers.
