About the opportunity: Position: Occupational Therapist - Senior Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary Full-time up to six (6) months (with the possibility of extension up to 12 months) Location: Occupational Therapy Department, Townsville University Hospital

What's on offer? Remuneration package of up to $13,113 p.m.

* Salary range: $4+12.70 to $5286.40 p.f. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP4).

* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

* Plus Salary Sacrificing options and flexible working arrangements may be available

About the roleThis role is the perfect opportunity for a motivated clinician looking for a new challenge or progression in their career, who possess a high level of experience working within the acute hospital or acute medical environment. This role works in conjuncation with the Seniors in Medical to provide high level clinical leadership for the occupational therapists working on medical floor incorporating clinical supervision and education. The role will rotate through the Senior roles within the Medical area, these include: Neurology/Stroke, Dementia/Behavioural, Geriatric Evaluaiton and Elderly Care. You will be working in a supportive and friendly department where autonomy and innovation are highly valued, and ongoing learning and professional development opportunities are encouraged and supported.

Role requirements

* The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Therapy, and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

* This position is required to work on weekends on a rostered basis through the Department's Weekend Service.
