POSITION OVERVIEW:

As our Office Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and employees. Your role is crucial in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, managing daily administrative tasks, and supporting various departments with your exceptional multitasking skills.

This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Markham Head Office and is considered entry level with the opportunity to develop into a more senior role (Project Administrator, Accounts Payable Coordinator, Accounts Receivable Coordinator) in the future. Ideally, the selected individual is a fresh grad from an Accounting/Finance program and brings at least one (1) year of experience in a customer-facing role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

General administration throughout the company, including answering and transferring all incoming phone calls to ensure a friendly first point-of-contact experience for customers and vendors.

Assist our Finance Department with AP and AR functions.

Maintain the cleanliness of common communal areas (including front desk and kitchen areas) by organizing supplies and efficiently loading the dishwasher when necessary.

Ordering office supplies on an as-needed/requested basis.

Supporting Finance with other projects/tasks that you may be asked to help out with from time-to-time.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

At least one (1) year of experience working in an office or customer service setting.

Education in Accounting and/or Finance is highly desired.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages in a clear and concise manner.

An ENERGETIC, FRIENDLY, and OUTGOING individual who is personable

Ability to stay organized and work meticulously

Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment

Strong independent problem-solving skills
