About the Role
As an Office Assistant, you will begin with a three-month part-time trial period during which you will handle customer service and office administrative duties while working toward obtaining your Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license. Upon successful completion of the trial and licensure, you will transition into a full-time Insurance Agent position with a salary of $45,000-50,000 per year.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career (rather than staying in an administrative role) with dedicated mentorship from seasoned professionals.
Responsibilities
Manage and respond to client calls and correspondence with professionalism and empathy. Ensure excellent customer service and client support.
Create, organize, manage, and maintain client files and documents.
Do hard copy filing. Assist with transition to digitized files.
Print and organize documents generated by insurance carriers.
Assist with receiving, recording, processing, and distributing payments.
Distribute incoming and outgoing postal mail.
Assist with paying bills.
Maintain office supplies inventory.
Provide support for various tasks and projects as needed by agents.
Seek professional development opportunities to stay updated with industry trends and regulations.
Study for and obtain your P&C insurance license within the 3-month trial period
Once licensed:
Identify and attract prospective clients through outreach and marketing
Quote, bind, and document new policies
Provide complete analysis of clients' insurance needs and service accounts
Handle inquiries, policy changes, and issue resolution promptly
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with industry standards
