Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. As an Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing administrative support to various departments. The main task of this job will be help with customs clearance of the trucks coming to Canada and going into the US. (Training for the above will provided).

Duties:

- Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette

- Get Customs documents sent to the right department for clearance (training will be provided)

- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation

- Maintain & update trucks safety records training will be provided

- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary

- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks

- Utilize office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines

- Provide support to other team members as needed

Skills:

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Excellent attention to detail for proofreading documents and maintaining accurate records

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)

- Familiarity with office procedures and basic administrative tasks

- Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus

- Ability to handle multiple phone lines and operate phone systems efficiently
