Job Description
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Office Assistants will report to the Director of Housing and/or her delegate and be responsible for a range of activities including:
Organize and implement the summer social programs and events for tenants within the context of and in compliance with all infection control protocols in place, including COVID-1+
Plan and develop materials and events for seniors/tenants within the context of and in compliance with all infection control protocols in place, including COVID-1+.
Education sessions for tenants in ensuring they are protected for infectious diseases including COVID-1+ among others.
Assist with the preparation of community materials including newsletters, brochures, and other materials
Assist with the implementation and data input of several surveys
Assist with administrative projects as required
Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act in all job duties
The successful participants will possess:
Knowledge of Program/Project Management /Community services/ Activation/ Gerontology
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
Organizational and time management skills
This is a 35 hrs. per week placement for a period of 8 weeks. Hourly rate: $ 18.00 plus 4% vacation pay.
