The Office of Major Infrastructure Delivery (OMID) is responsible for planning, procurement, financing, and delivery of the State’s major infrastructure. As the lead agency for social and non-residential infrastructure, OMID delivers high value (exceeding $100 million), highly complex or high-risk projects across the health, justice, cultural, sporting, emergency services, and primary industry sectors.
It brings together the best of program and project management, procurement, contract management, finance, commercial, stakeholder engagement, communications, sustainability, and governance to ensure Western Australia’s infrastructure is built safely, sustainably and with maximum public benefit.
OMID delivers projects that make a real difference to every Western Australian with new hospitals, sports, culture and entertainment centres, transport upgrades and training, justice and research facilities.
OMID is a part of the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI), which is responsible for coordinating the State’s transport operations, leading strategic planning and policy development, and delivering safe and sustainable transport services as part of the wider Transport Portfolio.
The Opportunities
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic L4 Project Support professionals to join OMID. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high‑impact projects that are shaping the future of major infrastructure across Western Australia.
Currently, we have 2x immediate, fixed term vacancies within OMID. These positions include:
Project Support Officer
Ministerial Liaison Officer
These positions will play a key role in supporting the delivery of significant infrastructure initiatives across the State.
This recruitment process is also intended to establish to fill immediate Project Support Officer vacancies, as well as other similar fixed-term and permanent positions that are expected to arise within DTMI over the next 12 months from the date of first appointment; for example, within our procurement, finance, project delivery teams.
There is a real expectation of ongoing opportunities becoming available, and applicants placed in the pool will be actively considered for future vacancies across the different specialities as they arise.
