With thousands of employees located around the globe, we are an international team encompassing a broad range of teams, roles, and cultures, and we invite you to come and join us • Creative • Analytical • Collaborative • Productive • Adaptable • Relationship Expertise Responsibilities Job summary: • Tech specialist with strong technical ability with 3-6 years of experience in Scala/Java/J2EE application development • Good communication skills • Experienced in working on medium to large enterprise projects, preferably in financial services Job description: • The position is based in India and is required to focus on delivery of the work, ensuring a robust design • This role may report to the technology team lead based anywhere in Pune or New York or elsewhere • Candidate should be able to work independently and should be self-motivated • Candidate might be required to work with vendors or third parties in joint delivery teams • The role requires application of technical skills and knowledge of the business to develop solutions to meet business needs • As part of large, geographically distributed team(s), the candidate may have to manage stakeholders across multiple functional areas • The position requires analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material, technical or business or otherwise, from multiple sources Key Responsibilities: • Translate business requirements into technical documents/code • Decompose architecture into implementable design elements and then develop the component • Implement appropriate design standards, frameworks and patterns while designing and developing components • Develop services layer/enterprise services • Debug any issues that arise in system or user testing or in production and provide timely resolution as and when needed • Converse with various data provider and consumer applications in their languages/terminologies (Oracle/ PL-SQL/Mongo queries, procedures or front-end frameworks or any other technology) Scope of Duties: • Candidate will develop web, messaging and object cache data services using Scala and/or Java, implemented according to Reactive design patterns and a microservices architecture • The services will be deployed globally and integrate with a large number of endpoints and so request routing, cross-border data handling and data confidentiality will be mandatory components in the overall solution. These services will support critical business processes so must be reliable, resilient and performant • The common service framework will ultimately act as the service development platform for CPB and so will have broad impact across all lines of business • Requirements: • Candidate should be proficient in any object oriented or function programming language. • 3 to 6 years' of experience in software development • Bachelor's degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering) - Must have skills for candidate: • Good problem solving abilities and hands on experience in writing code. • Experience with developing software that processes, persists and distributes data via relational and non-relational technologies • Should be able to adapt to changing technologies. • Experience with any RDBMS database and writing SQL queries. • Knowledge of Data exchange formats (JSON or XML) • Should be aware about CICD, Agile practices. • Good communication skills. Nice to have skills: scala, akka, Neo4j, any No-SQL database, Kafka Qualification: Bachelor's degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering) Candidate should be willing to work late in the evening India time on need basis in order to interact with US/other global teams
