About the Role
Contract Resources is stepping into another massive year, with multiple major projects and shutdowns scheduled across Western Australia in 2026. To support this growth, we are seeking experienced, motivated, and safety-focused Offshore Technicians to join our high-performing offshore teams.
In this role, you’ll support day-to-day operations across our core services in offshore shutdown environments. Duties will vary depending on the project and scope of work, and our Offshore Technicians are expected to be flexible all-rounders, willing to support and assist wherever required to ensure tasks are completed safely and to a high standard.
Offshore Readiness – Please Read Carefully
This is WA based role supporting Offshore Oil & Gas shutdowns. Applicants must already hold valid offshore certifications and have prior offshore experience.
Only applicants who meet the mandatory offshore requirements at the time of application will be considered.
Duties will include but not limited to
Chemical and high-pressure cleaning of tanks, vessels, and pipelines
Manual labouring and deck/floor support duties
Supporting and assisting other trades, technicians, specialised operators, and various crews to complete tasks safely and to a high standard
Performing hose handling, rigging assistance, and equipment preparation
Participating in High Pressure Water Blasting and Vacuum Loading duties depending on experience and tickets
Maintaining compliance with Work Health & Safety procedures (JSAs, SWMS, Take 5s, toolbox talks)
Reporting hazards and contributing to a proactive safety culture
Working under Permit to Work systems and offshore safety management procedures
Requirements & Experience Needed:
3+ years of proven offshore experience
2+ years of Oil & Gas shutdown experience or related industry
Strong understanding of offshore safety systems
Valid BOSIET + CA-EBS tickets (essential)
Valid MSIC (essential)
Offshore Escape Chute Training (essential)
Working at Heights certificate (within 2 years - essential)
Confined Space Entry certificate (within 2 years - essential)
Gas Test Atmosphere certificate (within 2 years – essential)
Construction White Card (essential)
Current Drivers Licence (essential)
Inert Entry Ticket (highly regarded)
Breathing Apparatus certificate (highly regarded)
High-Pressure Water Jetting Ticket: Operator or Assistant (highly regarded)
Vacuum Loading Operations (highly regarded)
Strong Mechanical knowledge and experience (highly regarded)
Ability to pass Offshore medical
Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
