A little about the role

Our Complex Care team provide 24/7 care for our children and young people. The new on-call team including this brand new on-call role, will receive incoming calls from KAA Complex Care staff seeking support and guidance during their shifts observing and implementing Child Protection and Child Safe Procedures, Better Care Better Services Standards and adhere to Safer Caring Guidelines.

You will review, monitor and manage response to all critical incidents in line with Key Assets policy and procedures.

You will support staff through incident management and escalate calls appropriately to delegated authority

Liaison with the Key Care Team tracking trends and incidents across the 24/7 care of placements is just one of many core tasks

During your shift you will assist in basic rostering and shift changes, actioning backfill and staff changes in collaboration with the rostering team

The base salary for this position is $85,120.36 - $91,586.56 /annum (based on 1.0FTE) + super + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum. This position is a full-time, ongoing role. Please note: You will be working a rotating roster during the period of 4pm-9am, Monday to Saturday.

About you

You will bring your 5 years+ experience of working with children and young people in the care system with evidence of being able to provide direct care to individuals, overnight support, that assists in meeting their social, emotional, educational/vocational, health, recreational and cultural needs whilst achieving their independent living goals, together with

Having substantial leadership/supervisory experience in a similar role, with training and qualifications in youth, social work or community services, with a sound knowledge of Child Protection practice

You will be able to demonstrate your experience with the ability to work with children and young people, with challenging behaviour in a trauma informed way.

You will be reliable, flexible and dependable with solid organisational skills including attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Your ability to demonstrate effective communication both written and verbal is essential.
