On-Road Assessor

Location: Perth & Peel Region, WA

About the Role

As an Assessor, you will be responsible for accurately assessing property damage and determining claim quantum and scope under the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). You’ll deliver brilliant service to our customers, providing peace of mind during the claims process, and support Client Managers to achieve the best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site and desktop assessments, creating, accepting, or rejecting scopes of work for claims in line with the PDS and service excellence standards.
Communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes, and claim progress to customers and stakeholders.
Support Client Managers in resolving customer issues and identifying vulnerable customers.
Assess property loss or damage, determine policy coverage, and document all decisions.
Contribute to claims cost control and quality assurance of repairs.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, report potential fraud, and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
Provide feedback on repairers and process improvements and support others during major events.
About You

Qualifications (Mandatory):

Industry qualifications or currently studying.
Qualifications (Desired):

Qualifications in building or allied trades.
Experience (Desired):

Extensive insurance experience.
Extensive customer service experience.
Experience compiling scope of works.
Extensive experience in building or allied trades.
Industry qualifications (e.g., Cert IV in General Insurance).
Claims process knowledge.
Previous experience as an assessor.

Willingness to travel and deploy to events within Australia as required.
