Overview
We are seeking a reliable and proactive On-Site Property Maintenance & Handy Man to oversee the day-to-day upkeep and management of the property in Georgina, ON. This live-in role includes rent-free accommodation as part of the compensation package. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing maintenance duties with administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Property Maintenance & Repairs
Perform routine inspections and does maintenance to ensure the property is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Handle minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, landscaping, etc.) or coordinate with contractors when necessary.
Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and emergencies.
Tenant Relations & Rent Collection
Collect monthly rent payments and issue receipts.
Deliver notices to tenants (late rent, lease renewals, maintenance updates, etc.).
Act as the first point of contact for tenants, ensuring excellent customer service and professionalism.
Administration & Record-Keeping
Maintain accurate records of rent payments, notices, and maintenance logs.
Assist with tenant move-in/move-out processes, including inspections and key handovers.
Support property management with general administrative tasks.
Qualification and Skills
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and handyman work and can do general repairs.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage tenant relationships with professionalism and fairness.
Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
Compensation & Benefits
Rent-free accommodation on-site (housing provided as part of the role) with parking
A monthly stipulation provided per month for the work (to be discussed).
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
