What you’ll do
Working at the Launceston Racecourse, the Oncourse Operator is a customer service role and is responsible for delivering an exceptional experience by providing an accurate, efficient and friendly betting and information service to all customers. We want to leave a lasting impression to ensure we are front of mind for all their future betting needs!
As a member of our Oncourse team, you’ll make a difference by delivering seamless customer experiences coupled with real-life racing and sports action. Life here isn’t just what you do, it’s about how unique contributions work together to put customers at the heart. This is a fun, exciting and social role where you will be on site at the tracks and part of the racing action!
Place bets and provide information for all Racing and Sports products (some of these products include fixed odds options)
Assist customers with using our new App
Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to all customers
Provide general information such as scratchings, track conditions, events and bet types.
Comply with regulations and maintain confidentiality
Ensure accurate cash control and be security minded
Assist with training as required
Some roles at Tabcorp require checks prior to joining for regulatory, security or safety and you must be at least 18 years of age and have a current driver’s license/own motor vehicle
This position would require availability of approx. 2-3 shifts per month. Rostering is dictated by a racing calendar and will vary.
What you’ll bring
Customer service experience and a client-centric mentality with the ability to build customer loyalty
Ability to work independently/unsupervised
Strong Tech/smart phones knowledge to assist customers with our new app
Aptitude to problem solve by translating and interpreting information
Ability to quickly comprehend and translate information to assist customers placing a bet
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Cash handling experience highly regarded
