What this job involves
As the Onsite Facilities Officer- Handy person, you will play a pivotal role in providing our client with a professional, responsive and effective level of service specifically related to various facilities functions within their site based in Barton!
This role is responsible for the everyday maintenance of the building/s and environment ensuring all operations and maintenance undertaken in the premises conforms with the workplace health and safety legislative requirements and any other relevant legislative requirements applicable to those tasks.
A snapshot of the role:
General repairs and maintenance of all aspects of the clients property portfolio
Minor building work and furniture repairs/alterations
Remove and/or install whiteboards, plaques, signage and screens
Patching and painting as required
Building exterior maintenance
Support the Facilities team in administrative functions, minor works projects and reporting as and when required

Previous experience in a maintenance role
Trade certification or licence in a relevant field will be highly regarded
Experience using hand or power equipment
Strong interpersonal, decision making skills and outstanding verbal and written communication skills
This role has the responsibility and duty of care to work safely and to protect yours and fellow workers health and safety. You must comply with the requirements of health and safety guidelines, policies and rules.
You must be an Australian Citizen in order to comply with our clients requirements with the ability to obtain and maintain NV1 Australian Security Clearance. (DFAT)
