Role Overview:
We are looking for an execution-focused Operations Manager who will take complete ownership of our end-to-end customer journey and backend operations. This is a critical leadership role for someone who thrives in system-driven environments, has a strong inclination towards AI, automation, and process excellence, and can scale operations while ensuring an outstanding author experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Journey Ownership: Ensure a seamless author experience from onboarding to post-publication, handling escalations, and ensuring timely resolutions.
• AI & Automation Adoption: Identify, implement, and manage automation tools and AI agents to streamline manual processes and reduce turnaround times.
• Process Design & Optimization: Map, build, and continuously improve workflows across publishing, editing, designing, listing, and post-publishing services.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Publishing, Customer Success, Tech, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
• Team & Vendor Management: Manage internal teams and coordinate with editors, designers, printers, and vendors, ensuring timelines, quality, and cost controls.
• Reporting & Analytics: Set up and manage dashboards to monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs; proactively identify bottlenecks and improvement areas.
Who Are You:
• 3-6 years of experience in operations, business excellence, or process management (publishing, D2C, or service industries preferred).
• Passionate about AI, automation tools (Zapier, Make, Airtable), and bringing technology into day-to-day operations.
• Systems thinker with the ability to simplify, document, and scale processes.
• Customer-obsessed, data-driven, and relentless in driving efficiency.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a strong bias for action.
