We are a small team that is part of the recently formed Performance Team within the Shared Services Business Unit. Our team provides operational and performance-based insights and analysis within Operational Excellence.

This hybrid position can be based in either Auckland or Wellington, with an expectation to work onsite three days per week.

We sat down with the People Leader (who you’ll report to) and they told us the following about the role:

What are 5 day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete?

Collate and transform data for weekly dashboards for the Executive Team.

Develop and deliver training material to support change initiatives.

Use existing data sources to develop new reports and dashboards.

Collaborate with the Data and Analytics Team to identify customers that need to be reviewed by Operations.

Communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders.

What is the team culture and environment like?

We work in a fast-paced environment that is often growing and changing. Our team is flexible – self-driven but also collaborative. We’re a supportive group and are always sharing the knowledge.

What is your management style?

I have a collaborative management style. I’ll make decisions and set directions where needed but I also value your input and feedback and welcome team discussions. We will also work together on tasks and projects from time to time.

What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?

Because we work in a fast-paced environment you’ll need to be able to prioritise effectively and be comfortable asking for help when needed.

What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?

Experience engaging effectively with different teams/stakeholders to achieve objectives.

Technically savvy, quick to pick up and learn new systems.

Proven ability to extract and transform data from a variety of sources.

Experience presenting and communicating information to a variety of audiences.
