As an Operational Risk Consultant, youll help uplift the way our Retail Insurance teams understand and manage risk. This is a permanent full-time role based in multiple locations across Australia.
What You'll Do Support the uplift of operational risk maturity by applying IAGs Risk Management Strategy, Framework and methodologies. Partner with business owners to identify, assess and manage operational and compliance risks across Retail Insurance. Conduct control testing, risk based assurance reviews and help shape continuous improvement opportunities. Coordinate and triage risk events, issues and escalations while supporting timely investigations and reporting. Maintain accurate risk data in ServiceNow and contribute to risk forums, compliance plans and business unit reporting. Coach stakeholders to build risk capability and promote a strong, proactive risk culture. Assist with risk profiling, control self-assessment planning and regulatory breach management activities. What You'll Bring Experience in operational risk, compliance or assurance within insurance, banking or financial services. Ability to analyse risk data, identify root causes and provide practical, evidence based insights. Confidence engaging with senior leaders and influencing decisions in a fast paced environment. Understanding of key regulatory obligations and how effective controls support compliance. Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow is advantageous Relevant Tertiary Qualification/s in Economics/Accounting/Finance/Law or related field or Industry Qualification e.g. ANZIIF, AS/NZS ISO are desirable What We Offer Boosted superannuation with 13% as standard. 20 days annual leave + 5 days MyLeave (extra leave for whats important to you).
