Team Size: 15–20 Personnel
Role Objective
We are looking for a seasoned leader to spearhead the installation, commissioning, and ongoing technical support for our SolarLive Remote Monitoring System (RMS). This role sits at the intersection of field operations and advanced technical troubleshooting. You will be responsible for ensuring that our monitoring hardware and software are seamlessly integrated into solar power plants, providing clients with the real-time data they need for optimal plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
Oversee a multidisciplinary team of 15–20 engineers and technicians across installation and support functions.
Manage resource allocation, training, and performance reviews to ensure high service standards.
Act as the primary technical bridge between the field team, the product development team, and the CEO.
2. RMS Commissioning & Execution
Lead the end-to-end execution of RMS projects, from site survey and hardware selection to final commissioning.
Ensure all installations adhere to quality standards and safety protocols.
Troubleshoot complex onsite integration issues involving data loggers, gateways, and sensors.
3. Technical Expertise (Communication Protocols)
Configure and debug communication between inverters, weather stations, energy meters, and the SolarLive platform using MODBUS (RTU/TCP) and CANBUS protocols.
Map registers and ensure data integrity across various hardware brands and models.
Resolve connectivity issues related to RS485, Ethernet, and wireless telemetry.
4. Client Reporting & O&M Support
Ensure the delivery of accurate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to clients.
Analyze plant data (PR, CUF, Generation vs. Estimated) to provide actionable insights for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams.
Monitor system uptime and lead the team in proactive "healing" of offline devices.
5. Strategic Operations
Standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for installation and support tickets.
Maintain high client satisfaction by meeting strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 5–8 years in Solar Power Plant O&M or Solar Monitoring/IoT sectors.
Technical Proficiency: * Deep understanding of MODBUS RTU/TCP, CANBUS, and RS485/RS232 standards.
Hands-on experience with Solar Inverters (String & Central), SCADA systems, and sensors (Pyranometers, Module Temp, etc.).
Leadership: Proven track record of managing teams of 10+ people in a high-pressure environment.
Knowledge: Familiarity with solar plant architecture, AC/DC distribution, and performance metrics (Performance Ratio, Soiling Loss).
Communication: Excellent reporting skills; ability to translate technical jargon into business insights for the CEO and clients.
Preferred Attributes
Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience with SaaS-based monitoring platforms.
Ability to travel to project sites as required for high-level troubleshooting or audits.
