Role Overview
The Operations Manager will be responsible for end-to-end operational management of mining fleet monitoring and field execution.
This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate between field teams, drivers, technical support, and management to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient operations using KiarX's digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and supervise Operations Executives and Mining Field Executives across shifts.
Ensure smooth 24x7 operational coverage and optimal manpower deployment.
Monitor mining fleets (trucks, excavators, and heavy equipment) using KiarX live tracking and analytics tools.
Analyze real-time and historical data related to:
Fleet movement and utilization.
Idle time and delays.
Fuel consumption and deviations.
Driver behavior and discipline.
Enforce driver discipline, adherence to shift schedules, and compliance with safety and operational protocols.
Identify operational irregularities and escalate critical issues with corrective action plans.
Review and validate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports prepared by the operations team.
Coordinate closely with the technical and support teams to resolve hardware/software issues within defined TATs.
Conduct periodic audits and site visits to mining locations to ensure execution aligns with SOPs.
Provide strategic inputs and recommendations to management for improving productivity, cost efficiency, and system adoption.
Support management in scaling operations, onboarding new sites, and implementing process improvements.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build a high-performance operations team.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree / PGDM / MBA in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Mining, or related fields.
1-3 years of experience in operations management, fleet management, mining operations support, or logistics.
Proven experience in team handling and shift-based operations.
Strong understanding of GPS/live-tracking systems, fleet dashboards, and digital monitoring tools.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is compulsory.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating.
Willingness to travel occasionally to mining sites for audits, reviews, and coordination.
