Position Overview
The Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for optimizing clinic processes, supporting the clinical and administrative teams, ensuring compliance, and helping to grow our impact in the community. This person will work closely with the clinic owner and team to ensure the clinic runs smoothly and upholds our values of cultural safety, collaboration, and holistic care.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and continually improve clinic operations, policies, and workflows to ensure efficiency and alignment with clinic values.
Support the clinical team by managing resources, coordinating staff meetings, and facilitating internal communications.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, privacy, and ethical standards relevant to mental health clinics.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and help implement best practices in trauma-informed and culturally safe care.
Coordinate professional development, training, and team-building activities for staff.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and culturally safe workplace culture.
Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and community organizations.
Support the clinic’s outreach, marketing, and community engagement efforts, including event planning and partnership development.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators and operational goals.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and HR processes for new staff.
Serve as a point of contact for escalated issues or concerns from staff or clients, ensuring they are addressed respectfully and promptly.
Qualifications
Proven experience in operations management, office management, or a leadership role (healthcare or mental health setting preferred).
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and communities.
Knowledge of and respect for Indigenous cultures, traditions, and healing practices.
Familiarity with trauma-informed and culturally safe care principles.
Experience with compliance, quality improvement, and team development.
Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Assets
Lived experience as an Indigenous person or strong connection to Indigenous communities.
Previous experience in a therapy or wellness clinic.
Knowledge of local community resources and supports.
Compensation & Benefits
· Compensation for this position starts at $35 per hour, with the potential for a higher rate based on experience and qualifications. We are committed to offering a competitive wage that reflects your skills and expertise.
