Job description
Our team is looking for an Operations Manager to work hand-in-hand with our Representative team and provide support for the company as a whole . The successful candidate will report directly to the company's President and oversee a number of tasks related to our services for clients & families. The position is based in Edmonton, Alberta, but allows for remote work with a high degree of flexibility.
We are looking for an individual that thrives in an ever-changing environment, and wants to grow with our team & business. As Visionary Sports continues to expand, so to will the role and responsibilities for this position. Our search is for a candidate looking to be a part of our foundation, with a passion for building strong and sustainable systems behind the scenes.
The Operations Manager role is a new position within the company and will oversee all operations, administration, payroll, event coordination and HR components to the company working directly with the President and VP:
Data entry and organization of athlete information
Oversight & completion of paperwork and customer accounts
Execution of company payroll, including compilation of employee statements
Support and active role in all corporate events including scheduling, staff coordination, planning, supply runs and more
Thorough organization of all customer accounts. Oversight of accounts receivable, payment reminders and incoming payments
Constant communication with Representative team on required items
Periodic travel to execute daily tasks
Thorough reporting to Executive group regarding updates, complete items and priority tasks to ensure effective performance
Onboarding and assistance with new hires and existing staff
Oversight of company CRM, client data and systems organization
The OM will have oversight & planning for our company events like athlete showcases, ice times in various cities and community involvement campaigns. Individuals with experience & success managing events, coordinating facilities and delegating tasks within a team make for an ideal candidate.
The successful hire should be organized, excellent with time management and strong at developing systems for administrative functions.
Experience with Quickbooks and executing payroll is a must have skillset. Experience with a CRM is a plus. Customer service and managing deadlines are both crucial to the position.

Group benefits are available to all employees outside of their probationary period. All company-related expenses and gas mileage are reimbursed, and compensation plans are revisited frequently to reward performance.
The role will be Monday to Friday with some weekend requirements.
