Job Description: Operations Manager

Position Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the company's operational activities, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness across all departments. They will manage resources, streamline processes, and ensure that the organization meets its productivity goals while maintaining high standards for quality, cost management, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Strategy & Planning:

Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations and improve productivity. Collaborate with senior management to align operational initiatives with the company's overall goals and objectives.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

2. Resource Management:

Oversee the efficient management of company resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.Monitor inventory, purchasing, and supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery and cost-efficiency.

• Manage and optimize budget allocation for operational needs and capital expenditures.

3. Process Optimization:

• Analyze and improve operational processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality.

• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and make necessary adjustments.

Use data and analytics to forecast operational needs and address potential issues.

4. Team Leadership & Development:

Lead and supervise operational staff, providing clear direction and support to meet organizational goals.Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Identify training needs and opportunities for staff development to enhance team capabilities.

5. Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure that all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.

• Manage risks related to operational activities, including safety, security, and regulatory compliance.

• Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential operational disruptions.

6. Quality Control:

• Ensure products and services meet quality standards and customer expectations. Oversee regular inspections, audits, and evaluations to maintain
high levels of quality and safety.

• Implement corrective actions when necessary to address deficiencies.

7. Budgeting & Cost Management:

• Manage and control operational budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently and within budgetary constraints. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost-saving without compromising quality.

• Prepare financial reports related to operational costs and recommend strategies for improving financial performance.

8. Coordination & Communication:

Serve as a liaison between different departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.Coordinate with external partners, suppliers, and vendors to optimize service delivery and ensure timely production.

• Maintain open lines of communication with senior leadership, providing regular updates on operational performance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Proven experience in operations management , logistics, or a similar role. Strong understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and supply chain management.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in using business operations software and tools (e.g.. ERP systems).

Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions quickly.
