The VP within SES will have to work in coordination with the staff within the department and with the team managers to ensure all the day to day risks are being adhered .
The VP will also be responsible to work alongside co-VPs and Head of Securities Services to address and escalate all risk issues. He/she will be responsible for ensuring there are controls in place when transitioning of any new process within Securities Services , working with onshore to get the necessary risks and control reporting .
The VP–Risk and Control will provide daily support and guidance to staff within the department and will work closely with direct reports, co-VP and Head Securities Services, to address risk issues.
Responsible for ensuring that day to day controls are being followed and any risks and issues are escalated and reported on a timely manner.
Other responsibilities include cross -Regulatory reporting, succession planning, Preparation of Management reports and Departmental initiatives, and interfacing with the different departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting within the given timelines.
VP would also be responsible for other activities like BCM, Audits, Transformation and people related initiatives.

Your key responsibilities
Staff Management
• Engage staff in Securities Services/org Initiatives.
• Facilitate change initiatives within the team.
• Responsible for conducting regular staff meetings to build a Risk and Control culture in the team
Process Management
• Identifying operational risks proactively and mitigating appropriately.
• Knowledge of Securities Services Life Cycle will be helpful
• Work very closely with the process owners/stakeholders and other internal clients for overall mitigation of risks in the process
• Acting as a central point of contact for all the Risk and Control related Challenges etc.
• Building and refining controls metrics (benchmarks) by involving team and onsite management
• Reviewing daily benchmark reports for each of the process lines, investigating benchmark breaches with Global counterparts and working to improve the process
Your Skills and experience
• 15 to 20 years’ experience in investment banking operations/ Custody Operations/ Securities Operations with at least 5-10 years of experience in managing Risk functions
• Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and complex situations.
• Strong English written & verbal skills required. Ability to converse clearly with internal and external staff via telephone and written communication.

• Experience of running and managing projects
• Graduate in Commerce/ Finance (Preference – Post Graduate/ MBA)
• Coaching and feedback ability
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
