We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our storage, warehousing, and security functions to ensure smooth, efficient, and secure operations.
Job Description:
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the management and optimization of our storage and warehousing operations, with a key focus on security and inventory control. You will work closely with sales, purchasing, and maintenance teams to ensure that stock is well-managed, secure, and organized, enabling us to meet customer demand and sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations and inventory management, along with experience implementing and managing security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with sales, purchasing, and maintenance teams to assess inventory needs and ensure timely replenishment of stock to meet customer demand and sales targets.
• Develop and implement effective stock control, handling, and distribution procedures to maximize the efficient use of store space, financial resources, and labor.
• Ensure all products are stored in optimal conditions and conduct regular inspections to detect and address any deterioration or damage to stock.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and stock movement, ensuring that the right quantity, quality, and type of products are available.
• Prepare reports on stock levels, expenditures, and store performance, providing insights and recommendations for inventory management improvements.
• Implement and oversee security measures for the warehouse, including surveillance, access control, and inventory security protocols.
• Monitor and audit inventory to minimize theft, loss, or discrepancies and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Manage storage space allocation and optimize the organization of the warehouse to support efficient operations.
• Ensure that safety and regulatory compliance standards are upheld within the warehouse environment.
Required Experience:
• Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, or in a similar role in storage, warehousing, or logistics.
• Strong experience in inventory management, stock control, and warehouse optimization.
• Knowledge of security protocols and best practices in a warehousing environment, with experience in implementing and managing security systems (e.g., surveillance, access control, alarms).
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including sales, purchasing, and maintenance.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and motivating a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance in warehouse settings.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and warehousing systems (WMS) is a plus.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Certifications in security management or related areas would be an advantage.
• Strong computer skills, with proficiency in inventory management systems and reporting tools.
