Proactive Foundation is a globally recognized non-profit organization, which is solving critical citizen-centric issues through the involvement and engagement of the latest technologies and volunteers. Proactive Foundation is currently working on promoting active citizenship to solve the road safety menace in India. Road Accidents are killing more than 150 thousand people and seriously injuring over 400 thousand Indian citizens every year. Proactive Foundation is working to solve this serious problem with the infusion of technology in the road safety domain and creating proactive citizens through volunteerism to implement it on the ground and enhance awareness about road safety in society. About Part Time Job/internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Identifying the problems related to road safety within an area and presenting solutions as well as their implementation
• Interacting with the member of legislative assembly (MLA) and other government officials of an area
• Visiting and collaborating with international organizations working on relevant issues
• Engaging in fieldwork and implementing self-developed programs and initiatives
Requirements
• Keen interest in the non-profit sector and who wants to bring a change in society
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Hindi
• A good understanding of road safety laws, regulations, and challenges in India
• Willingness to travel to different locations and meet with various people
• Intern/volunteer must belong to Delhi-NCR
Why This Internship
This internship will help in developing an understanding of policymaking and implementation through working with legislators. You will have the opportunity to interact with Members of the Legislative Assembly, government officers, policymakers, and other experienced professionals and network with like-minded individuals who share your passion for road safety. The intern will also receive the opportunity to visit legislative assemblies and other important institutions.
